Dear Members of Alfa Club Sweden,
at the end of February 2019 we will join with our Alfa Rome 75 2.0TS the “Baltic sea circle – winter edition” It is a winter rally around the Baltic sea for old school cars – minimum 15 years old, no gps, no motorways. Every team drives for a charity project.
Look here : https://bsc-winter.superlative-adventure.com/bsc-winter-home-en.html
and our attachment. We are team Nr. 49 – the only team with an italian car and one of the few without four wheel drive. – Transaxle instead of 4WD J
Our Trip will start on 23.02.2019 in Hamburg trough, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia, the baltic states back to Hamburg
In Sweden our rough plan is the following (depends on the performance of our AR 75TS J )
23.02 Start in Hamburg
23.02.In the Afternoon, coming from Kopenhagen/ Malmö and stop in the evening in Strömsnäsbruk at J A Bed&Breakfast Ranch
24.02.Stop in the evening near Gävle
25.02 Lunch at Hoga Kusta (perhaps meeting with ZF Truck-Test-Driver, they are coming from the north)
25.02 Reach Vilhelmina to stop at hotel Wilhelmina
26.02. In the morning Ice Challenge Vilhelmina and then start into direction norway – BodøMaybe we meet some of you during our trip…
A lot of people laughing about us, because we are joining with an 29 years old Alfa Romeo with rear drive and not with an SUBARU 4WD, Mercedes ML, Land Rover and so on…
Ok, that´s the challenge, we will show (and hope J ) that also an Alfa Romeo or especially an Alfa Romeo can do this.
If our alfa really does not like Swedish winter, is there someone from alfa club Sweden we could contact if we need help finding spare parts or a vintage car workshop.
Of course we have a 75 in a good condition regarding the main parts, spike tires with us, but who knows …
Best regard from Lake Constance / South Germany
