Ok, Yu, I’ll call you Sam from now on.
5 mars, 2014 kl. 13:30 #24077Sam, I managed to connect to the engine and ABS yesterday but not the airbags.
This is a picture of my cable, since you build your own, how should I check if the pins are connected correctly? Is it enough to measure with an Ohm meter according to the specs for the different adapters on the multiecuscan page over the pins that should be connected together in the different positions of the switch?
In position 3 nothing is detected, in pos 7 and 12/13 engine is detected and in pos 1/9 engine and ABS is detected.

hi, there
I think better way to do this is by take the case off. check the wire with multimeter. they said for this protocol. you should have
pin 1 – ABS
pin 3 – Airbag
pin 7 – Engine/Gearbox
pin 9 – EPSalso people suggest not to put airbag with any other pin together. it is risky.
or you can send it to me by mail. I can check it for you.
5 mars, 2014 kl. 14:43 #24079the label on your cable are very confused.
12/13 for what ?
5 mars, 2014 kl. 14:49 #24080Good question.
I’ll take it apart today and check.

Good question.

6 mars, 2014 kl. 09:22 #24082hi, I think when you check your wire you will see as follow.
Airbag is soldered to pin4-5, instead of pin3!
ESP is soldered to pin11-12, instead of pin12-13.
you should re solder it as follow
pin 1 – ABS
pin 3 – Airbag
pin 7 – Engine/Gearbox
pin 9 – EPS
pin 12 – XENONif you need all the function.
7 mars, 2014 kl. 08:17 #24083Sam, I don’t really understand how I should check the connection of the pins you suggest on the other side? Do you mean that a certain pin should be redirected to pin 1 for ABS to function?
pin 1 – ABS
pin 3 – Airbag
pin 7 – Engine/Gearbox
pin 9 – EPSI took min apart yesterday and this is how it looks:
7 mars, 2014 kl. 09:43 #24084You only need to remove the black cable from pin4-5 and then solder it to pin3 (airbag)!
The switch must be in “3” (airbag) position!! After this mod, you can read the airbag module!
7 mars, 2014 kl. 13:04 #24085Thanks Sam, where do you find the information for all of this? Do you think that the cable I bought was incorrectly made or why was it connected to pin 4 and 5?

Thanks Sam, where do you find the information for all of this? Do you think that the cable I bought was incorrectly made or why was it connected to pin 4 and 5?I found the information on the MultiECUscan forum. many people have the same cable as you. at beginning the cable more like one I have. the cable quality improved but these small thing make in China most likely a small home workshop, wrong instruction maybe case this to you.
7 mars, 2014 kl. 13:17 #24087Thanks again, and finally is this the only mod I should do or can it read even more things if I do some more modifications?

Thanks again, and finally is this the only mod I should do or can it read even more things if I do some more modifications?if you do this mod. you have everything.
pin 1 and 9 – ABS / EPS
pin 3 – Airbag
pin 7 – Engine/Gearbox
pin 11-12 – XENON14 mars, 2014 kl. 13:54 #24089Sam, I resoldered according to your spec and this way I got contact with the airbags as well so now the only thing that doesn’t work is the xenon lights.
Har någon på detta forum lyckats koppla sig mot xenon lysena via pol 12/13 samt multiecuscan?
14 mars, 2014 kl. 13:56 #24090Shit, just realized I resoldered to 12/13 according to the label on the cable and not 11/12 that you wrote which it was in the beginning.
Which should it be?
