The reason these are expensive is they aren’t just reducer hoses – check the last photo which shows the hard, shaped silicone ring mounted inside the molding which butts up against the metal of the inlet manifold and where the chrome runner stops – this gives the air a nice smooth internal surface, a basic reducer pipe doesn’t do this otherwise that’s exactly what I’d have done, as its a permanent and cheap solution. But I don’t want to do away with the functionality of the originals which have the same molded inner surface.
